HDMI sound

I want to disable my my sound card because its causing BFBC2 to crash, and i dont want to get a new sound card. SO my only option now is going HDMI sound out of my 6990. I have never done that, how does it work? Is it just plug and go?

yeah but ur only options afaik is using the monitors speakers dont think it'll work to desktop speakers

very interesting there lol didnt know those existed yeah disable it in bios and hook it up bro you'll be jammin in no timeonly issue I see is those are full sized rca jacks I believe ur speakers might be bnc or mini rca

the only downside to this is is i wont have access to the mic and headphone jack on my front I/O

or,

if your monitor has audio-out, simply plug your HDMI cable (1.3a or above) and the speakers into the monitor, and the speakers will work directly from the monitor (no need for extra cables)

whats interesting about my monitor is that it has audio out but no speakers.
