So I did get all my HDMI to monitor for both sound and video done. Was a pain but at the end it was worth it. Over my stock soundblaster card that came with my Crosshair formula III, and going digital sound (HDMI) i noticed a HUGE improvement. Sound is MUCH crisper than it was before, although i will debate whether or not it's better than my ASUS Xonar. But WOW! BFBC2 sounds incredible, and the best part is I don't have to worry about Realtek drivers locking up BFBC2.
So the conclusion of this post. If you need or want better sound GO DIGITAL! A digital (HDMI) system will sound good with sound systems ranging up to the $3,000 range easily.
