Ive have been looking for a proper storage solution, tried something homebuilt but that ended up creating quite abit of noise and vibrations.

Ive got room for 3 5.25" drives, and i have been looking at these, have anyone tried using these, how well are the drives cooled and what kind of noise are we talking about here ?, planning to use a noctua fan instead of the supplied ofc.

Seem to remember TTL talked about the 2nd drive option and he complained that they were kind of loud, even with noctua fan and fan speed reducer

Did a little browsing around and came across this

This will be able to fit 4 extra hdds in my server, in 3 5.25" slots

But its expensive, anyone tried using this ? Kind of akward to be thinking about buying a case accesory, thats double the price of the entire case, its going to be placed in :-(

thats just two, after a 5 second google search. I know that there are hundreds of similar items available.

personally I have had a bad experience with silverstone and bay converters, my 5.25 to 3.5 bay converter did not fit in my corsair 650D without some serious screw bodging and the 3.5 opening was actually fractionally too small and warped the front panel of my akasa baymaster. eventually through a combination of loosening screws, removing screws and bending some panels I got it in OK but its still nowhere near perfect. I am somewhat disappointed. I don't know if these products suggested will be different but know if it doesn't fit right, it might not be you.

Well i got it, and the bay itself fits perfectly. The fan mount doesnt really fit, and has to be forced in, not quite happy with it, but happy enough, a larger case is due down the line anyway.
