Hardware Shots- Slow internet= No no

Damn those look good. What photoshop edits did you make, do you use a macro lens and if yes, what strength?

Personally I'm practicing with a sony alpha350 w/ +4 macro lens, tripod and remote trigger. Currently trying to save one of my pictures, but it's slightly blurred by camera movement and it's way too blue because of the LEDs in my case.

Edit: I'm not trying to take over your thread or anything, but this is what I've managed to push out of it:

Not at all, the thread was created to start photography chatter.

Im not using a macro +? at all, its just the lens. I am however using a flash guns, which means no long exposures, and nice even lighting...

I did give long exposure+ tripod a go earlier, it works quite well with aperture priority of F22ish..

As for photoshop edits.. I just make the backgrounds a tad blacker and some of them i painted over the dust...

I'm currently experimenting with long exposure and very low aperture (I hope we're talking about the same feature xD), in the range of F4-F8. Gets you some quite nicely focused pictures as only your object is really sharp, but I also find the blurred edges to be distracting sometimes.

Will need to get a camera at my rig when it's standing at tripod height some time ^^ Had to take the above picture out of hand with an exposure of 0.8" or something because my tripod's too high ^^

Ouch.. Try using a tripd, zoom as far in as your lens will let you then move the camera till you have what you want in the frame (you cant use macro filters for this). Then use the highest aperture you can, Shutter will probably be crazy time but just leave it and enjoy the results..

What lens you got btw?

Meh my max exposure is 30 seconds, and yes that becomes a problem in my quite dark room :p Will have to start taking picture at day instead of at night after work.

Will have to ask my dad about the lens tbh, the camera isn't mine ^^ Will ask him tomorrow probably when he's in a better mood about me and his camera, I forgot to return it yesterday after having taken some pics *whistles*.

A few pics I encountered when scrolling through the pics I took of my sister's rig (built 29/12/08):

A cmos battery, I just felt like photographing it:

And the lever of the stock 5000+ x2:

No photoshop edits done at all btw, just resize.

Those are some great photos guys :) I have a terrible compact camera atm. I'll have to add a new camera to my shopping list :eyes:
