Hardware conflict - Xonar DX and GTX 560Ti?

Hey,

I bought an Xonar DX off eBay because I had the DS but it was PCI so my new mobo doesn't support it.

It works great apart from when I am playing games. There will be a sort of "buzzing" noise like a bee when I record from my microphone. It only happens when I play games (when the GPU is in use, basically) and is quite audible.

The slots aren't even next to each other or anything. This is really annoying especially since I do a lot of game commentaries. When I exit the game and record, the noise in the microphone source is gone.

Is the card borked? The seller didn't package it entirely well to be honest.

Thanks.

to me it sounds more of a software related issue, but unfortunately i cant help you :[ good luck though

try disabling the gpu's sound options and see if that helps.

How would I go about doing that? As far as I can see the Nvidia panel says "No audio capable display available". It does get used when I play a film or something on my TV which is connected via HDMI, and it comes through the TV speakers.

Argh, it's also just borked up my recording I spent ages on. It does that sometimes too, when playing a game it sometimes doesn't let DXTory capture the audio so now I have a video with no audio at all. I would say its the card but it only happens when I'm playing games. What's with that?

I should mention that this NEVER happened with the Xonar DS I used before my mobo upgrade, but it DID happen with this card on both my old and new mobo (So it's not the mobo causing it).

Is the card borked?
