You can drive at 17 - but then you have to learn and pass the test :)

Drinking is 18 :)

Ah, I didn't think you actually had a set age for drinking, just thought it was like as long as you look appropriately aged to drink they'd serve ya.

Llwyd said he could learn to drive... So can you actually get your license and drive @ 17 or just start the learning procedures and then you can get ur license when ur 18? I'm confustricated :p

Legal drinking age is 18. Yes if your younger you can probably get in if they don't check...but they should ;)

Your allowed to drive at 17 with an accompanying adult if you have "L" plates. You have to learn to drive and take two pretty hard tests to get your liscence. You could in theory pass on your 17th birthday: but it doesn't usually happen

Well you just have to hope you don't get id'ed. You can drink from the age of five in the uk, in private property, but 18 in public etc.

I presume you can take your theory test before your 17th birthday then?.

You can take both on the same day and I know someone who has tried it. Passed theory, failed practicle :)

Didn't know you could, thought you needed to have the theory test passed inorder to book the practicle. Presumably they wouldn't have got much practice in though, which kinda explains why the failed the practicle ;).

Driving in London can not be fun... I was about ready to shat myself riding around in the back of the taxi to and from the airport. It's like people have never heard of speed limits or staying within the painted lines on the road. I was like omfg I'm going to die!! lol

The worse thing in london are the cyclists, they're everywhere, and one time we were in double lane traffic waiting at some traffic lights, and some arsetard cyclist walked his bike up between the two lanes of traffic, squeezing between our merc and a double decker red bus... damn my dad can shout if he's angry ;).
