I remember putting a Halo 2 disk from the original XBox, into the XBox 2 (360?) a few years ago and it looked blocky as hell. Maybe it was because older games didn't play well with the newer console, or maybe the resolution was just terrible.. I'm sure it it wouldn't be too difficult to add some AA and custom resolutions..

Halo MC collection has two options. Not sure how it is on pc, but for xbox, you can experience the old gfx and the new at the push of a button.
There is even an achievement for it.
