Hey follow overclockers, I'd like to introduce myself.

500GB Hard disk @ 7200rpm

Antec 900 Case

32" HDTV 1080p 60hz @ 1920x1080

32bit Windows Xp Pro.

Wondering if any of you guys could tell me were my bottleneck is?

I was thinking WD V/Raptor for christmas, or does the bottleneck lie elsewhere?

No bottlenecks from my watch.

Get those WD Velociraptors but I would recommend you upgrade to Win7 lulz :p.
 
SSD not raptors :p

theres no bottleneck in sight but i wud srsly consider going phenom II as the first phenoms are a pile of mess in my eyes

I bought this system last July.

Would the WD V/Raptors really make much of a difference? £160's worth? :P

Also is it worth putting Phenom II into a AM2+ M/Board like mine or would it not use all its power correctly?

No mate the HDD's would make no massive difference, as said before the biggest difference would be in changing the GPU and RAM.

Sell your old stuff and add it to the upgrade budget.
 
Will the Phenom II work well in my AM2+ M/board mate?

I'm very tempted after christmas to give my old PC to my girlfriend and make a new one with Phenom II and 1333 RAM
