HAF X vs. Xigmatek Elysium

So my friend is looking for a new case and at first he was going for the Corsair Obsidian 800D, then found out about problems with airflow, so on and so forth, and decided do go for another case, now he's between the HAF X and the Xigmatek Elysium, they're both in the same price range, i told him the HAF X is better in my opinion but he still isn't sure (as he plans to keep it for the longest time possible), so i'm asking the community, which one would you go for?

P.S

He currently has an atx am3 mobo and a 5750 gc and doesn't plan on watercooling anytime soon but he still wants the option

anymore info just ask

I'd say the HAF, if watercooling is not his main reason for making his choice then there really isn't any point in the Elysium.

Any motherboard that isn't XL-ATX looks tiny and out of place in the Elysium, it is a good case with really good watercooling support but the HAF would look a lot better and is the better air cooling case and still has good watercooling support. Thats my opinion anyway HAF X > Elysium unless you intend to do an all out custom watercooling loop.

thanks SieB for your fast reply, that's what i thought so, if all the slots for fans in the elysium were taken it would be super noisy even with silent fans, i think it's overkill anyway and ginormous too

I definitely agree with SieB there as said the HAF-X is a very good airflow case with very good watercooling potential plus it has the hot swap bays at the front of the case which hide the drive rather than on the top with the drive sticking out which doesn't look too good to me I also think the HAF -X looks like a nicer case too although alot of people would probably disagree with that. Also as previously stated the xigmatek is a huuuge case and that is saying something cos the HAF-X isnt exactly a small case either.

Well,i have hafx,haf932 and haf922.If you want watercooling with a 360 rad in the future, haf 932 is the best option.I first had the hafx, but its annoyingly loud compared too the haf932.

Would you say you have something of a case fetish going on there dude?
