Which one would you pick? Since I got my cf 6870’s there’s a lot more heat and I need a new case. The phantom is slightly bigger than the haf x. the haf has more fans than the phantom but I can still add more to either of them. There’s a fan controller on the top panel of the case which I really like it will save me £20. The haf is £20 more but if I get the phantom I will spend another £20 on extra fans anyway. The haf has 3 usb including a 3.0 and the phantom has only 2. I prefer the look of the phantom to the haf as well.

IF I GET THE PHANTOM I WILL GET THE BLACK VERSION

People just like the phantom for its white color. The dust filters are not easy to acess and it cant support a 360 rad.

HAF X is one of the best cases.

if you are going for modding the inside with LEDs or WC, then the HAF has a see-thru side panel, to show off your wares... the phantom only has slats.

plus dust is easier to see on black, than white... which will make you look after it better/more often

I vote for the HAF..i use the 912..great case !!..plus front doors on cases are a pain..just trying to order any replacement parts will be easier from CoolerMaster...IMO..

Hi guy’s

Slightly off topic, but can the side panel fans be removed from Phantom & HAF-X as I would like to do a w/cool and can not see the point of covering it all up.

Note All TTL’s work in his w/cooling vid, & customising the NZXT Phantom (Christmas 1st Prize case) only to have most of it not seen!

I voted haf x mainly due to my recent purchase of a cooler master case (storm sniper) but I like the looks of both. In my research I found the haf x to be larger the phantom only beats it in length. Which is prolly important if ya have full length cards but both will handle them easily.

yes they caqn be you could also mod a window into it so you could show off ur wc setup as well.

The phantom is better looking than the HAF X thats about it. If u can stomach the industrial looks of the HAF then go get it. IMO the phantom is not built for watercooling also the HAF X is adept at both air and watercooling so my vote goes to the HAF.

Also you might want to wait for the Xigmatek Elysium its gonna be a huge case awesome for watercooling plus it can swallow a phantom and I mean that literally.

when modding the phantom you have to be careful as the paint peels very easily.

so if you cut a window out then you will most likely have to repaint the entire side panel or the entire case if you can get the right colour

Thanks Guy's

Looks like i may have to re-think this issue, as i would like to w/cool. But all the cases i find ether have no side window or the window is on the righthand side.

How about lian-li pc-a70 165£+sidepanel 57£,242£ total.

The Haf X ,130£. And you will need to add decent fans, top 220mm+rear 140mm,20-40£ added.

Airflow is better than Haf X,Build quality 2nd to none.

6870 aren't very hot and the NZXT is suffice. I don't know if HAF X supports radiators fo water cooling. If you will install water get a case designed for it, please :

Edit: OK it does, good

The Haf X only make sense if watercooled. There is place for a 55-60mm 360 rad inside top.

Besides that airflow isnt good with stock-fans. One additional 220mm topfan and better rearfan 140mm needed.

£242 is out of my budget. I will just get a haf x £125, extra bitfenix 200mm fan for £8, Aerocool V12XT LCD Dual Bay Fan Controller £35 all that is £168
