GTX570 + New Heatsink Questions

Even after updating the software and BIOS, and clearing all dust out of my GPU and case, my MSI NGTX 570 with reference cooler is still running really hot. It idles at about 42 degrees even with the fan settings cranked way up when the card is idling. The problem gets even worse when the card is under load, I ran Heaven a few times and managed to get it to almost 90 degrees...

So I want to replace the cooler to the Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus.

Questions:

1. Will this void my warranty? (I'm pretty sure it will)

2. How difficult is the swap?

3. Will I notice real results?

4. Is there anything else I can do to help?

Thanks

570 on a ref cooler will run on haven at 88c with no case around it. i had one on test yesturday and they run really hot, all of them do.

you can change the cooler but it will void the warrentee, att the top you see where the screws are holding down the cooler it had little stickers on it with say void if removed.

cand sinks are easy to change but some can be hard. the best advice i could give you is to look for a guide on the interwebs dude.

-yes it will void your warranty

-i heard accelero's can be a pain to mount

-you will definately notice results

-dont buy a reference cooler next time!

There is now a version 2 of the Artic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus. It has more ram sinks and is therefore compatable with more GPU's out of the box.

From the research and reviews I've read its meant to be the best and quietest out there... The Thermalright Shaman may also be worth a look - but that takes 4 slots as opposed to the 3 the Accelero takes.
