Hi Guys,

Just wanting some advice on a graphics card upgrade, im currently running a GTX470 and i must be one of the few who have had no issues at all with it, the drivers and card run fine (unlike the 5770 i had before) and as noise isnt really an issue for me i cant say its over noisy, however im wanting an upgrade and with the prices 470's are going for now i thought maybe SLI would give the best bang for buck as the scalling seems very impressive. I have a CM690II case with an extra 4 sharkoon silent eagle 2000 120 fans in and airflow is really good so i hope temps shouldnt be too much of an issue. What are your thoughts ? also on a side note is there a traders area on here to buy and sell parts etc?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

I run 470 SLI, couldn't be happier. I have had no issues at all. One of my 470's is a launch 470, the other I purchased last year at this time. I am also using a CM690II case.

If the price is right, add another 470.

There is a For Sale & Wanted section, but it doesn't become visible until you reach 100 posts.

great thanks for the info, i really apreciate it, do run on air or water? quite fancying a foray into water and seen a few nice mods with a couple of 240 rads in a cm690II but all the reviews ive seen seem to dislike 240's in favour of 360's.

Thanks again for the info

I run them on air. Going to be watercooling my CPU soon, have had the box of parts forever....I only have one thin 240 rad for the top, but think I will be grabbing another thicker 240 rad for the bottom. I don't know if two 240 rads would be enough for 470 SLI plus an overclocked CPU. Maybe some of the more experience water coolers can give some insight to that.

The 690 can only fit 240 rads, but you could do an external 360 or larger.

yeah if i could manage it in this case it would be great!! id like to avoide spending more cash on a case even though the Corsair Obsidian 800d looks awsome
