GTX 770 SLI on a m-ATX mobo - Does it make thermal sense?

Been toying with the idea of adding another GTX 770 in my case once they become a little bit cheaper.

I know it should fit in my rig (click for rig thread) as the Asus model is exactly 2 slots wide.

But does it make sense to do it? I understand the top card would very likely run 5-10c higher than the other, but aside from that would it remain stable and maintain acceptable temperatures, without having the fans go at full blast at load?

I'm running a positive air pressure in my case, so the airflow going in is quite nice, which potentially could help on the stability when running SLI(?).

Haven't been able to find many people who have tried to run SLI on small m-ATX motherboards, so seeking some advice here...

I wouldn't expect amazing temps or much oc headroom but it should work fine:) airflow between the cards would definitely be an issue though.

Those type of coolers dump all the heat into your case, for SLI you really need a reference blower type cooler to dump the heat out of the back of the case.

Having said that I would not want to try to run SLI on small m-ATX motherboard even with the reference coolers.

The top card will be pulling heat straight off the lower card its a really bad idea unless on water like I said above.

End of thread tbh.

A custom water loop isn't really within my interest at this point, so it would've been air.

I already feared the temps would be too high. If only single slot 760's existed...
