GTX 650 issues

So my GTX 650 has been giving me issues. I've had it on a watermelon-level PSU for some time, but today I got an Antec 450w PSU. I installed it, and oh look, driver crash.
I've asked on several forums, and everyone said it's my PSU, that I should change it etc. but now that I've wasted like 50$ on the PSU (yes it was that bloody expensive, great country, Croatia is, eh?), I can't help but feel angry (because i can't say pis*ed off).
The rest of the PC is kinda dated, but it works fine:
-Athlon II x4 600e
-4GB of RAM
-GA-M56S-S3 on F6h BIOS
-Noname case
-LC CC 95 cooler (btw recommended, cheap as hell, but does a great job)
-Seagate Barracuda ATA HDD as backup, WD SE as main
-and of course, Antec VP 450P PSU

On the sticker it says 2x 12V rails, each 18 amps, but haven't tested it, as I like having unburned hair on my face. It kept crashing with other drivers, and it even crashed running a game from 2008, on like the lowest settings (10/10 optimization, lads).

Now, I don't wanna get another 17 billion headaches thinking what the f*** should I do, so please, tell me if I should get the suicide adapter for the best efficiency of fixing the issue.

EDIT: wanted to add, I loaded my GPU, and opened GPUz in the background. Went to sensors, and during a crash, the graphs for memory controller load, video engine load and bus interface load went to 0%, so it cleared whatever data it had stored, and restarted the GPU. Bad GPU?

Oh, I forgot to write it. My GPU (PoV GTX 650) doesn't have the 6 pin connector.
Sorry for bad res tho.
