GTX 590 DOA?

So, I think I have the answer to my problem. I haven't tested the card in another system yet; however, I was looking at my current motherboard and I can clearly see it is not PCI-e 2.0 but simply 1.0. I'm assuming 2.0 cards won't work on this board?

I've had ATI cards for most of my life, the latest being the HD5770... and I can tell you one thing, I think Nvidia is SO much better. Everything seems more solid (build and performance) and the software is simple but powerful.

I think I've had more problems with my last ATI card than all my computer problems combined.

Well your not the only one i got my EVGA 1280MB GeForce GTX 570 HD Superclocked from scan yesterday clean out all the old driver's installed the 570 booted up installed new ones restarted and nothing blank screen with screen say cant get signal but windows loads fine because i can here it load via the speakers..

Ok, that means it's fried (not completely dead). That happened to one of my old cards. At least, that's what I was told.
