GTA V's OpenIV modding tool receives a new update, development will continue

GTA V's OpenIV modding tool has received a new update after Rockstar expressed support for modding in a recent statement.

Why the f*ck didn't they just do this in the first place?

Rockstar and Taketwo knew that Open IV was capable of effecting Online services, OpenIV devs said it couldn't, they then amended their statement saying it "could be abused". Rockstar are also wanting it altered (patched) so that it can't be used to view yet to be announced DLC or updates which get leaked on a regular basis.

Here's hoping it's a win win otherwise it'll just get shut down again.
