hello, i hav jus bought a new tv a philips 50pf9631d/10 and im tryin to use it as a clone monitor for my pc. i hav a geforce 7800 gt graphics card with 2 dvi ports. with dvi 2 vga connector i used to hav a second monitor (prodjector) set up with a vga 2 vga wire and it wrked fine with a pc resolution of 1024/786. my new tv does not hav a vga port so iv bought a dvi 2 hdmi wire and pluged it in and set it up how iv done it like before .... if i hav the resolution set to 600/800 it works but i want it as 1024/786 but then most of the pixels go green or the wrong colour on the tv, iv been told my tv is well able to play that resolution and think its more the graphics card or the wire that is causin the problem ... iv changed and played around with loads of different settins on the pc and the tv but cant get it to send a clear image unles i hav it set 2 800/600 .... on the graphics card settins i think the graphics card thinks im usin a dvi 2 dvi wire which im not its a dvi 2 hdmi ... but i cant change that settin ... if anyone can think of anythink pls help me its doin my head in lol thank you
