Great headsets to use without a good sound card

Ok, so I was originally planning to buy the new upcoming Razer Tiamat BUT! I found out that Razer recommends an extremely high grade Sound Card to be used with this Headset, I.E. Xonar Essence STX. So because of this information I need to look into a new 7.1 surround headset that does not need a high end sound card. A good example of this type of headset would be the Razer Megaladon or the Logitech g930. So, if anyone knows any headsets that can beat these two I would love information about them, such as where to buy them, what makes the rise above the other headsets, and why you "personally" recommend this headset. Personally I am thinking I will go with the Logitech g930 but, I shall wait and see what the fine people of OC3D have to say upon this little matter.

I wouldn't recommend that Admiral Touch, you see that charging console? Yeah, that is also the wireless receiver; you would have to carry that around with you wherever you go. I'm ordering the Corsair Vengeance 1500s soon, I'll make sure to tell you how well I like them, they are USB so a great soundcard isn't necessary.

There main appeal to me is the Multi-Console use. I can use them with my PC, PS3, Xbox 360, WII, PSP, 3DS, and ETC... Also the marketing by T-Pain does bring back the thought of "Iam on a boat" and the fact that it is called the Admiral makes it even more comical.

What about the SteelSeries Siberia v2 or the 7H? The 7H is made for travelling, and is 7.1. You can pull it apart into 3 separate pieces, and IIRC it's compatible with consoles. If not, I do know SteelSeries have a lot of multi-compatible headsets

Oh and loving the Pandarian Brewmaster
