Grand Theft Auto VI is skipping PC at launch, and we deserve it

Honestly don't care, I still haven't played more than 20 minutes of GTAV, The last GTA I played to completion was 3, Then Vice City and San Andreas each roughly when they launched originally, Did a few hours of 4 and 20 or so minutes of 5 mainly only using it for the built in benchmark.

The guy who wrote that article is a moron, tbh. We deserve it because we want to play the game and Rockstar won't give it to use until a year or so later? So what's the alternative? Pay for a console and a game? Boycott the game like petulant children because we didn't get it on day one? A game that we want to play once it is made available on our platform of choice? Like I said - moron.

"We" deserve a game? No we don't lol. We are entitled to nothing. It's THEIR product not ours. They can do whatever they want with it.

Pretty saucy opinion your holding there.

There are so many things wrong with your comment, that I am surprised it came from you. This is usually something that comes from an angry, new member that doesn't realise this is not Linus' forums.

Rockstar can do what they want. They did this for GTAV and made a massive profit in doing this model. Impatient people would buy it twice, for console and pc later.

On top of that, the polish and improvement that was made with PC compared to console showed a great improvement.

Exactly. This is a prime example of not wanting to release a broken game.

I think they learned a lot releasing the pile of slop that was GTA IV.

I never said that Rockstar can't do what they want. I don't care that Rockstar is skipping PC at launch. I fully expected it. I'm merely disagreeing with the author of the article and his braindead assertion that we somehow deserve it. It's moronic.

Ironically the only braindead and moronic assertion is you considering the fact you did NOT read the article. We deserve it because we made it successful for them to do it that way. They make more money because consumers keeping buying it.

It's quite an easy thread to follow. You doubling down on this only makes it funnier. Try reading the article, not the headline. I'll even point out head to the last section and you'll find his reasoning.

What are you talking about? How do you not understand what I'm saying?

You say "We deserve it because we made it successful for them to do it that way."

I say, what is the alternative? Go ahead. I'll wait.

There's no deserve or not deserve here. It's just Rockstar being cu*ts because they can.

Because they can?

From memory, every major release that has delayed the PC release has meant they've had more time to polish the port and the game has always benefited. I don't see this as a negative.

Not quite sure you think someone is moron for thinking we deserve to have the best game possible.

The alternative, buy it one console and stop moaning. Done.

Your memory is corrupted then. GTA IV was broken, GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas were also broken. They even shipped without some graphical features of their console counterparts and they never worked correctly even after patches. GTA V is pretty much the only GTA game that worked well on the PC.

And like I said, Rockstar could make a PC game alongside console releases. To claim otherwise is ignorant. They are a big enough company that doing something like that is more than feasible. They simply choose not to do it. And even the moron of the author correctly recognized the existence of double dipping.

That is not my interpretation of what he said. My interpretation is that he thinks we deserve to be treated like second-class gamers, because we have proven to be suckers who often buy on console and on PC. But somehow, being treated like that has its positive sides. He's basically coping.

I am not moaning. I am buying a PS5 next year, so I don't give a . And I knew that GTA VI wasn't going to release on the PC at launch.

Instead of reading into things that aren't there, simply read what is there. I am simply calling the author of the article a moron.

My interpretation of the article is MUCH different to yours.

Double dipping is for those who are impatient or have FOMO, not that either are necessarily bad.

If you think someone is a moron for voicing their own opinion, then I feel pity for you.

Of course not. I would never think that someone is a moron for voicing an opinion, whatever it is. I would, however, think that someone is a moron based on the content of said opinion.

Same thing. You're just reading what you want to hear, instead of the actual message.

Either way, I'm with Mark so I guess that makes me a moron too. A happy moron, who is happy to wait for the game to be released on PC.
