GPU and ddr3 vs ddr5 question.

OFF TOPIC - Yes we are, I like o have deep discussion and share my passion with other people .

Bottom line, get the 7770 and get a cheap i5 if you can afford one.

As long as both have fun arguing with eachothers, it's ok. :argue: There's always those who can't accept anything that the other is saying, but I'm glad you're not one of them :) It is definitely fun to discuss with other people about electronics in general. :handshake:
But yea, an i5 if it's possible, but i3 will do with the 7770.

OFF TOPIC - I don't like to :argue: and I like to keep an open mind. I don't like those type of people that call you stupid or try to make you feel bad trough whatever way just cause you don't see eye to eye. I'm glad you're not one of them peeps either :beerchug: hehe. There still are good people out there I suppose.

ON TOPIC - Either a early gen i5 or a latest gen ( if possible ) i3 with the 7770, your brother would be very happy. :).

of topic but still good to here more about these things,

one question will 1600 ram run on a 1333 cpu?
will it only slow down the ram speed to 1333?

Yes it will run. From my experience the cpu memory controller will run that ram at the default clock if the memory is higher in frequency than the CPU's known supported memory speed. Some motherboards allow you to overclock the RAM without any issues and that way you can run your ram at its rated max speed.

For example if you take a look at my signature below, I am running an Athlon II X3 which only supports 1333MHz RAM but the mobo allows me to OC the RAM to 1600MHz fully stable wihout any issues. So if you use 1600MHz of memory, the cpu will automatically run that RAM at 1333MHZ or lower depending on the memory controller or CPU or motherboard etc.

Definitely will run, just make sure you go to BIOS and change DRAM Frequency to correspond your memory specification :)

I tried to explain as well as I could to prevent the possible million questions afterwards. ( hope I did ok ) Ok peeps, don't mind this, carry on!
