G'day Everyone
Really happy today as I have a second Sapphire 7970 OC with Boost coming next week and should help my frames for BF4 @ 5760x1080.
I had a refund due to me from PCCG for my dodgy STX card and they just got back my GPU in stock and are selling them for $340au so just meant it cost me $160au after refund so happy happy!!
So any advice, tips or tricks for a very first time X-Firing noob?
Cheers

good morning mate
I to am running 7970 twins(msi) found Afterburner worked best and just the normal disable ULPS, extend official overclocking limits
I'm using 3.0.0 beta 15 with no problems
watch the vrm temps
just have fun and enjoy

I can't answer that one I'm only running 2 screens both on the top card one for monitoring temps one for game but I would have thought so

So my card arrived today and......OMFG what a difference playing BF4 is when you have good frames and @ 5760x1080 I have never seen a game look so lush what with the Levolution that's been implemented I'm stunned.
When it starts to rain and the swell picks up on Paracel Storm it's jaw droppingly amazing now if they just fix the netcode and crashing.....

Haha I bet it looks gorgeous maxed out across three screens. I'm really impressed with the game myself!

Maybe I'll pick up a second 7970 at some point. ;)

This is just a tease! I'm planning on grabbing a second 7970, but that's a while off yet. Gotta upgrade my cpu/mobo first!

Glad to hear it's all working well in BF4, as that's all I really care about for the current moment in time.

If you can afford to get a second card whilst they are still around and now that the price has dropped then DO IT well worth it makes me wish I could have afforded it earlier :p

I am having fun maxing it out at 1920x1080p on my 7950:p
Would love to run 3 screens but not enough room... Gonna go with 1440p soon i think. Should be about the amount of pixels as 3x1080?

Close but get the second card to get those frames up it makes all the difference!!

1080p x3 is about 40% more pixels than 1440p.

59% to be exact if my math is correct:p

With one 7950 and BF4 on max settings i easily max it out. If i ever need a slight bump in frames i would take off AA if playing at 1440p.

Also what exactly are your frames like OP in BF4 and such?

I'll be buying another 780 and 2 more 1440p monitors in December :P PCCG are pretty good, but I really just don't like the prices we get here in AUS. The cards come from Asia yet they're what about $100-200 more expensive. I'd be tempted to just order them off of Newegg but you only save about $50-$70 so yeah PCCG and Scorptech are the two stores I frequent for parts.

Yeah I get 99% of my stuff from PCCG the postage from overseas just don't make it worth while and most of the time more expensive.
The two 780's should give you some very healthy frames even at those high res's enjoy

So another 2 1440p monitors? That would mean 3 in total... 3x1440p>4k.

2 780s at over 4k res will get there asses kicked. Better off with 2 290x's at minimum.
