I usually interchange the two. Just a bad habit from some of my dads hunting buddies. The clip is used for inserting ammo into the magazine faster than adding bullets one by one into the magazine am I correct?

No, that's technically called a speed-loader. But in a way you're kiiiind of right but it doesn't really have anything to do with the speed of reloading. A clip can be found inside of some magazines though...

Here's a good little primer for ya :)

Gotcha. So I take it you do a lot of shooting. Do you hunt as well or mostly target? If you don't mind me asking, what other firearms do you own?

I mainly hunt, but I do quite a bit of target/match shooting as well.

Other guns that I own are a Browning Citori 12ga over-under, Ithaca 10ga auto, Remington 870 Super Magnum, Ruger 30-06, Springfield 1911, S&W Model 22A, and a 7mm mag that I can't think of who makes right now. That's about it at the moment. Now my dad, he owns a LOT of guns, lol.

Ah man, some of those rifles should be in a museum :p.

Well only one of them. Is the Springfield 1911 the same as the Colt 1911?

Some very nice guns you have frag. Ah if only guns were as easy to access here in canada than in the states :( We had to go through lots of red tape just to get a pistol.

I love the Deagle, I love guns, and I love America. Frag, you best be carrying that around with you :D. (Which is legal)

Indeed it is good sir, the latest and greatest :) And yeah, the Springfield is pretty much exactly the same as the original Colt 1911, just manufactured by Springfield rather. 1911's are probably my favorite semi-auto pistols to shoot, they just handle so darn well and the accuracy is untouchable. Luff em!

@Nick: Once I find a suitable holster that fits a fat person well, I will :D

wow, I'm sure someone wouldn't want to

 You seem to like them a little too much Nick lol (future NRA poster child). And why in the world would you be allowed/need to carry a hand cannon like that around the street? I'm not disrespecting gun owners (I own a hunting rifle - .222, and enjoy recreational shooting), and the Deagle is certainly an even more awesome/formidable looking pistol in real life Frag :worship: ; but apart from sport and I guess self defense (in the extreme), I'm thinking something smaller would be more practical? I guess what I'm trying to say is that surely something like a 9mm Glock, would have ample 'dropping power' with the added bonus of holding more ammo? Anyway, as far as being impressive, the Deagle wins 'hands down'! Nice purchase :) Oh btw, do they come with interchangeable barrels, as an optional extra?

Hehe thx PV :)

This isn't a carry gun, certainly not something you conceal and use daily. This is more of a hunting gun than anything else, or a good backup when bear hunting. It's one of the few pistols that can penetrate a bears skull. A 9mm is a bit on the weak side however, it really won't stop a grown man quickly enough if not shot in the head. I've heard many instances of an assailant taking multiple 5+ hits from a 9mm and barely being phased by it. I would say a .40S&W is about the lowest caliber self defense weapon I'd personally carry, .45 auto is optimal for self defense. Get yourself a sweet arse sub-compact 1911 and there's nothing better IMO.

And yeah PV, I can switch the barrels on this beast. It also has the ability to change between 4 other caliber sizes fairly easily. Each caliber has both a 6" and 10" hunting barrel available, changing them is a friggin breeze. Bt you can also buy the bolts and mags for .41 mag, .44 mag, .357 mag, and .440 CorBon mag. along with the .50AE of course.

Tiz a very versatile setup, I might pick up the .357 mag barrel, bolt, and mag for it. It produces WAYYYY less recoil and would be more practical for daily target shooting (because the ammo isn't $1.50 per round, lol).

P.S. I got banned for a week from MacRumors forums for posting the picture of my gun on my Mac and then getting barraged by psycho liberals... I defended myself through 4 pages and then, BAM... got the ban hammer for insulting some guy. It's like some uber tree-hugging mod was just waiting for a valid reason to give me the boot. I've now requested that they delete my account on their forum as I didn't want to be a part of their online communist party.

Cool mate, thanks for the extra info...muchly appreciated. I guess some crazies require some bigger fire power rofl :) MacRumours banned you for posting some pics...very narrow minded :( Guns don't don't kill people, it's the irresponsible nutters behind them. Glad to see you're excluded from the above category! I must say that I have changed my opinion on guns in the past year; whilst I'm not totally pro gun they certainly have their place and provide enjoyment to many enthusiasts and sportsmen alike. More power to ya mate, and I hope it provides you with many hours of enjoyment to come; you're certainly very responsible :)

Yup, most people (especially outside of the USA) don't realize the many uses for guns. They think that guns are for one purpose only, killing people. It's like wow, please take a second to stop and think about what you're saying. In the US, guns are a constitutionally protected tradition. Half of the population owns a gun and uses it for recreational purposes such as hunting or target shooting. All in all, guns are just fun to have and use. It's just a handful of crazy #*%^ers that ruin it for everyone and give guns a bad name. And those people don't acquire their guns legally either, it's all black market stuff which couldn't be avoided even if guns were outlawed all together!

Agreed, after the Port Arthur tragedy in 1996, the Australian Govt immediately banned all fully automatic and most semi automatic weapons. It just exacerbated the problem by forcing guns underground; only the honest owners returned their guns in the buy-back scheme.

Also, it has been proven that the legalization of concealed weapons greatly reduces the crime rates because criminals are worried that a victim may be armed.
