Really says something when people would much rather entrust their privacy to a company founded by a pair of students than the governemtn that they country is controlled by.

It could be the perception. I mean, who knows if ~really~ Google stands for:

Governmental

Organization

of

Gullible

Lemming-style

Earthlings

??

.. the student thing is a front ??

O o First they earn ur trust as something helpful like a search engine, then they softly softly get the info they want. Recording IPs of who looks at what.

I'd imagine there'd be no censorship as far as that sort of thing is concerned. A circulation of work was made of some black dood openly taking a wizz outside a busstop.

The thing is with the face smudging, if u know the people, u can tell it's them. We've identified a fair few people dipping in and out of the local pub etc.

On the censorship, in this day'n'age, I would fully expect that the face and number-plate filtering would be automated.

The ones for liverpool were taken 6 months ago

It does seem to have problems smudging the front number plates on white/silver cars tho. Just looking down some London streets I can see the front plates of several cars :s
