good RAM

Suggest good RAM for a Gigabyte P67A-UD7/ CPU 2500K system?

Also what’s the Pro/Con in 1.65v VDIMM/ 1.35v VDIMM?

there's lots of good ram out there to choose from.... it all depends on your cooling solution, which one's will fit when it is installed.

I'm just assuming here but gonna guess 1.35V has better life length due to lower volts but ram rarely dies so. need to ask another but maybe more OC headroom I'v no idea on that one though.

Also decent ram fits under almost all coolers

Yup I'm gonna say it....mushkin redline, seems to be the main memory brand of choice here personally got radioactive series and happy with it.

I intend to modestly W/C

As for the RAM I was looking at the Mushkin Copperhead (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Or Blackline (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-16000

The Radioactive looks good but they do not appear to do DDR3 over 2x2gb kits

The copperhead would look epic with the UD7's gold and black colour scheme. And it's decent RAM.

Copperhead is their be all end all top of the line stuff for water overclocking so yeh pretty decent.

redline beats blackline but black just looks smarter lol

Water cooling ram gains you very little other than e-peen unless your over volting the nuts off of them as they just dont get that hot otherwise unless your case is a box with 1 40mm fan.

With the ud7 id probably go with the copper heads and keep them as they are, get the most out of the tasty looks and still get great performance that way.

My concern with the Mushkin Copperhead is that is not on the Mushkin web site, and I wonder why?

It's a limited edition and very rare, it's literally just coming out in the US and I think only Aria has a couple of sets in the UK.

OT definitely go for good brands: corsair, mushkin, kingston, crucial (all I can think of atm), water cooling ram is pretty useless, tbh most ram don't even need a heatsink unless your going for a overclocking record or something.

the pro/con of high vs less volts would be heat and life expectancy I think, the higher volts will mean more heat is produced and the less volts will mean less heat and therefore longer life expectancy however I don't know how this would effect the performance.
