good news for everyone

Should do a paid and free version to get some money back
smile.gif

Looking forward to seeing it though!

Or we could donate to dug for all the hard work he's done/is doing for OC3D

Yeah, I think a paid version would put a lot of people off. But I think you would be surprised how many would donate

okay peeps... a little update:

the CPUID commercial license was a big fail - their code is very old and not entirely portable
sad.gif

so... i have re-wrote everything in assembly language (and.... VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!), which involved alot of whitepaper reading over the holidays (my eyes were very sore).

i am now in the middle of designing the GUI (gadgets will come later)

it must be legible, easy to use, customisable, and look epic. almost all components will be animated
wink.gif

TTL wanted an OC3D version, so i will stick to the OC3D logo colours, but later versions will have the capability of 'skinning'.

now, here's the question... what would you like to see in this AIO ?

the reason i ask is that i may have overlooked something
biggrin.gif
. afterall, it is going to be an AIO
tongue.gif

list so far:

a CPUID clone

a HWMON clone

a 3DVantage clone

a cinebench clone (cpu and gpu)

a superPI clone

a prime95 clone

a PiFast clone

a whetstone/dhrystone clone

a linpack clone

a futuremark clone

a 3Dmark clone

a novabench clone

a Sandra clone

a FRAPS clone (CPU-based, DX and GL)

what am i missing? (if any!)

I don't normally toss this term around, but this sounds completely EPIC!

An OS?

Got a few decades laying around the house . . .

Seriously though, what about a sound control panel? Or would that be too much of a driver nightmare?

gadget teaser:

lol love the running man icon! about making money off it you could just have a couple of ads attached, only idiots moan about ads on free things. and the paid version could get you the updates first, and get rid of the adverts.

anyway m8 gl with it i hope it all works out for ya seems you have put alot of effort into this!

i am a terrible freehand artist, so i draw everything in 3D.

i always user rhino3d, and then export the lines into photoshop (for layering and paint-by-numbers).

the layers are then used seperated as components to make the finished gadget.

very time-consuming, but worth it (and flawless)

"all good things come to those who wait"

"patience is a virtue"

both good quotes, but i will not quote a release ETA just yet
sad.gif

I can definitely wait
smile.gif
just wondered if had set yourself a date or something
smile.gif

But it sounds like such an overwhelming project anyway so it's understandable
