Gonna get a laptop

Not to try and go off topic or anything but what exactly happened to Dell offering clean HDs? I want to get a laptop from them with no OS but they dont have the option.

Take off 2gig and the TL56 X2 and you got the same thing, for over that (in US). Here they dont give you the option of the TL50.

Dell laptops are pretty damn good laptops if (as mentioned by PP) you take off their rubbish software.

In fact Dell PC's are great for Mum and Dad etc...just awful for us

Aye.. they might be better value, I just don't trust dells IBM are on an Iffy now that Lenvo? make them.

But HP do some blinding laptops now, and are well priced.

Around here HP desktops wind up dieing alot and so i recomend Dell to people now. Only for the simple fact that i know they cant pay my fee to build one for them. Dell does my dirty work haha. The also like the spiffy LCD they get too, which gives me browny points for the recomendation.

See we are replacing the Dell's which are awful with new IBM's. Which are lighter, and have better keyboards.
