NICE. All this DRM crap. Nothing but trouble for buyers.

This i don't understand at all. What does the DRM do to annoy you? Force you to be online? I haven't been annoyed by a DRM since Securom limiting the key activations.

DRMs can be buggy etc. Ive had several occasions wherr I finally got some time to play a game and a DRM comes along to screw it up and make me waste countless hours with moronic tech support that gets me nowhere.

What does it do to anoy me you ask so nicely? The above.

Mind giving an example? I haven't had a bad DRM experience since Spore. Usually it's just forcing me to be online, which i am anyways.

An annoying DRM is always having to be online.

The area I live in gets hit with outages a lot because ISP's are constantly doing line work, Upgrading services etc.... and if the net goes out mid way through a game you then get kicked.

Need For Speed is a good example, Was in the middle of a race recently and even though I picked the option to play on my own without other racers, It still kicked me to the main menu when the net went out.

As Kushiro said, Anno 2070 is another one, I've been bugged by activation screens numerous times even though nothing on my system has changed and I've then been locked out and had to contact Ubisoft customer services.

DRM sucks great dane nadgers.

Elite: Dangerous - Love the game so much but the always online bit in a backwater city in a forgotten state = plenty of outages. "Cannot connect to match making server" bang dropped to main menu. Annoying and frustrating.

Anything that isn't online co-op or multiplayer should be able to be played stand alone. Even just finding some time to game and going yeah I may play whatever game. Start the game and 'updating... 1 of 3,426Mb.." Once again it's great if you're in Europe or NA where you have super quick internet but a lot of the world isn't. 20 mins of updating is probably the only spare time I had for a quick rampage.

Fair enough. I wasn't aware that connection issues were still that common in the UK, my connection hasn't failed in over a year. The Anno 2070 thing seems to be a bug, any poorly made software can be annoying like that, i doubt that is the intended function of the DRM.
It's not like i love DRMs, but with the damage piracy is causing i can see why devs go for it, so i am not opposed to an (at least in theory) unintrusive version like having to be online at all times. It's kind of the only effective solution as well since anything else can be circumvented with ease.

Must admit I've play hours of Anno 2070 and never had any issues with playing it, I thought that issue had been fixed
