Man they look cheap

I couldn't agree more. Gigabyte have never really made visually appealing GPUs but these latest ones are total junk. Not just to look at either.

I don't get why they release when Vega is around the corner

Because as exciting as the high end stuff is the low end stuff is how a company stays afloat. These cheap GPUs are easy to produce and make a decent crust.

I see nothing wrong with releasing a refresh tbh, so long as it's a decent improvement over the last. Nvidia do it all of the time.

As long as they come in at the same price the last gen did I think it's a good idea.

Rebrand is not the same as a refresh. Both companies haven't done a rebrand in quite some time. Refreshes yes.

I didn't mention rebrand, only refresh.

I count Pascal as a refresh, considering it probably cost them $0 before manufacturing.

They use the same exact coolers.....

More quoted trolling :D (not you). The AMD Fury X is probably the best quality piece of manufacturing I have ever seen from a GPU.

Oh I guessed I read it wrong. Pascal costed them "$2billion". They spat out that number like 400 times during it's unveiling. I don't see why. As far as anyone can tell by the stuff Nvidia gives us it's Maxwell shrunkdown on a better process that clocks higher...
Fury X was very nice. Felt like quality. Certainly the best i've ever used, but it was also the most expensive PC part I've ever bought.

Pascal cost them money because of the shrink/process/company they used etc etc. The technology itself cost them nothing, they simply shrunk Maxwell. If there is any substance to their claim it will be manufacturing costs, handshakes, minimum orders etc.

I think I am in agreement with AdoredTV. Next Titan will have a "ultra" sibling and the price will go up to $1500. Some one did a survey recently and apparently Nvidia users are prepared to pay up to $1500 so I bet Nvidia have seen that... Nothing wrong with free market research, eh? :o

Oh yeah, going back to the $2bn thing. They could have very easily added all of the Maxwell dev cost into that figure and would still be telling the truth.
