i enjoy the "smooth airflow better heat dissipation" where smooth airflow or laminar flow is actually worse for heat dissipation

Imagine our setups once they pull their fingers out, and invent the superconductor No more heat, only processing power.


Anyways, kinda sad if reversing the direction of a fan is all they can come up with.

Like everything else, there is a balance to be had here, yes perfectly laminar flow would be terrible for heat dissipation, but this design tweak will not by any means make airflow that perfect.

The main problem with the previous fan system was that the airflow from both fans opposed each other, creating a kind of vortex between both air masses that doesn't want to leave the graphics card.

Perhaps there is a better way to phrase that portion of the article, but I don't think we need to go that deep into the field if fluid dynamics.

Yeah i know, was just having a laugh at the expense of advertising departments.

Would be interesting to know how much extra air they're managing to move past the heat sink with this change
