I ordered a gigabyte r9 280x and i am terirified at the moment..i read many bad reviews, mainly from newegg customers that bought the card and it had too many issues, anyone having problems with r9 280x from gigabyte? the rev 2.0 edition btw!

I'm sure they will, but it might take more than two and a half hours for you to get a response; have some patience my friend :)

Xaxa you may be right...you know i am really anxious, indeed, may need to cancel order and get sth else..on the other hand anything else would go over budget, which is over the initial one already! :P

if your that on the fence about it cancel the order and get something else. Every card is different just because others have had issues doesnt mean you will. Buying computer parts requires research before purchasing. NewEgg is pretty good about returns on defective parts especially when you do your part. Last year I bought a top of the line Gigabyte FM2 mobo and AMD processor to go with it. Things went south fast on it. I contacted NewEgg via email and while waiting on a reply I contacted Gigabyte and AMD both said it sounded like their product was bad to return it. Once NewEgg contacted me back I gave them the info from the manu's and wham bamm thank you mam I had an RMA and a short 7days later I had my money back.

So my best advice is research before buying to avoid this issue, or have the danglies to follow thru with your purchase.

I was aware that there have been some quality issues with Gigabyte's cards recently but they might have fixed it for all I know :). Its a real hit and miss with them but if it breaks I'm sure newegg will help.

Pretty sure if you check the reviews of other cards there will be bad ones too, all manufacturers have "bad eggs" it's a long shot you'll get a lemon. Your only reading a hand full of bad reviews from say a few thousand sales.

Personally quite pissed that my Giga 270x is voltage locked... saw a thread somewhere about the same issue with a 280x too, if I recall correctly :/

Thanks a lot guys, still confused, but may give gigabyte a chance. Otherwise could go to 290 from gigabyte for only 70 more euros and be patient until have enough money to watercool it... Any suggestions are welcome!
