I used HD Tune for my bench.

give everest a try....it's the only drive bench that i know of that does a low level read/write
just a fair warning though....since it runs a low level bench on the physical volume...DO NOT run the write test on a volume with data on it, as it will erase it
it's a way to test drive "speed" regardless of data on the logical partition
sorry again about the misunderstanding on the mobo....totally my bad for assuming we had the same thing
would be really curious to know what your RAID benches at on Everest....

What do you mean a volume that has data on it? I didn't partition the drive, so the volume does have data on it.

he means if u use it on ur raid just now it will wipe it

Yeah, I'll pass on that then.
it will only wipe it if you do a WRITE benchmark....the read bench leaves the data untouched....
