seriously?! 12 hours of search down the fucking drain because of AdBlock?! what's next? it doesn't work on Chrome? this is a messed up oversight!

I literally just fired 20 gigs of traffic through the internet just for finding out that it was all for nothing :D
Btw: Will the image be blocked in the print version, too?

Well, honestly, forums like this live off ad revenue for the most part, so it would at least be courteous to not use it at all in the first place...

I would think that it's more like a call to use common sense... if you know you're on an image hunt, why would you go through that hunt using plugins that block images? :confused:

Also, it's not like the ads are intrusive on this site... really no downside to whitelisting.
 
I could be wrong but given what he's told us about the competition. I get the feeling it will be page one of whatever article it's buried in. He says you won't miss it and I don't imagine we'll have to dig ridiculously deep. Also and I may be 1000000 miles away on this. I suspect it will be in an NVidia post, otherwise it would be providing advertising to whatever it's on. NVidia might not like. But again. Just speculating

I have it disabled on YT by default (that's where I usually follow TTL and think it mostly counts); never thought forums work on the same principle. btw, this is my first forum account made in the last 5 years; I thought they went the way of the dinosaurs.

Would corporate firewalls block it? I'm able to see ads but my work has YT blocked (among some other things) so embedded vids are not viewable. I'm wondering if it's the same for said image, because all I've managed to find are eye-strain and frustration.

I doubt that, you are probaly 1 of the many that have done it wrong.

Kinda feel like a cavemen searching for this, my scroll wheel has steam pouring out of it.
 
I had thought my adblock was disabled on here, remembered doing it and I was seeing adverts down the side and top. Obviously it decided to reactivate itself partially so got it completely disabled.

Too late to start again though :/ Feeling a bit silly

I would imagine you might invalidate your entry.

The rules say this

Publicly sharing of the answer URL will result in disqualification.

So I would imagine explaining how to find it would be a similar offense. I could be wrong but I wouldn't risk it.
