Gigabyte announces their new Xtreme Gaming XC700W chassis

Is there NO front intake fans??? No front radiator space? If so where does the case recieve its fresh air from???

As per their product page here Gigabyte Product Page airflow is from bottom to top. I am not liking this case much. The wasted space in the front of the case is a big question for me. Also there is not a very good way to get positive air flow in this case as I can see only room for maybe one fan on the bottom of the case as vents don't go all the way to the front. You would also have to use the back fan as an intake to even get anything close to positive air flow pressure.

Yeah, seems like it and I'm not a fan of this case at all. Seems like someone brainfarted in the design when it comes to cooling and airflow.

Those 3 blue intake arrows sure are deceiving since over half of that area is blocked by the PSU. Maybe the name should be changed to XTREMELY THROTTLED GAMING'

Maybe they should have just put slits around that front panel with a filter behind and some intake fans in that enormous void?? I get having free area in the plane of the PCI slots, but WTF goes in that upper front space?

The ariflow is similar to the InWin 303. Minus the PSU placement etc.

Color is terrible and the 303 looks crap loads better.

this case looks ugly wow Gigabyte went with Xtreme Gaming for a case yes there willl be people dumb enough to buy to buy this

Yeah I was going to say the airflow doesn't look too good. TBH the insides look quite cheap too.

Everything about this case just looks and feels wrong in my opinion.

Looks ugly, has a big fat "XTREME GAMING" written on it's side panel, if not a little simple "Gaming" is bad enough, they have to go mental with it. And the airflow seems to suck horribly.

I agree with everything except the psu intake, the arrows pointing up for the bottom intake probably mean they want you to put the psu facing downward so it sucks in air....not sure WHO does that but just my thought.

It is a nice looking case but the lack of positive air is just....stupid? is just saying its a stupid decision enough? :P

I like the front. I love silver and black, a very tasteful combo. Sadly that is where it all ended.

And no PSU shroud? is it 1993 again? crap man, I'm 19 !

There is a way to make positive flow in this case. You have to have every fan position including the top 360 mount as an intake. It's counter to how its normally done, but one Tom also suggested for the Corsair 570X review. In total you would then have 4 intake fans (3 in top, and the back) and no exhaust fans.

Not really something I want to do, but it is workable.

It makes you wonder... A case like this would most likely have airflow issues meaning an "extreme gaming" setup would not be a great idea.

Perhaps some mid range rig with a 1060/1050 i5 CPU at stock could pull it off smoothly. It could just be my watercooling epeen mentality that refuses to have anything run over 55C on full load.

I'll stand bye what i said earlier, I don't like it.

This only appeals to Gigabyte fan boys/girls there the only ones will buy it i can't see any normal person buying this POS ^_^

Yeah bottom intakes covered up by powersupply, cables, and then 4 exhaust fans as they recommend, get ready for the most negative pressure ever boys, and keep your brushes and hoovers on standby. I don't mind the design, i think its kinda cool looking but... yeah there's no way around the big elephant.

TBH i can't see it being as bad as the Antec 1900 case, I can still remember TTL's review of it

That reminds me i should go and re watch it so i can get a good laugh from it
