Gigabit switch

Hey ho

Aiming to get as high gigabit speeds as possible so I've got some quality cabling on the way. I need a few 5/8 port switches and after one which will give proper gigabit.

I can easily get a tplink one from work but is something like netgear a lot more worth it?

No, all these soho switches are pretty much the same really. I'm guessing these are simple unmanaged switches?

I have a basic ASUS gigabit switch that has been working great.

i have a netgear gs108 and it was very temperamental so i stopped using it and used an old router as an access point instead. which is working much better.

OK. Cheers guys. I was concerned that the gigabit rating can be loosely used but if gigabit is gigabit then I'll get a cheap one from work
