I hope this is true, Been wanting to play this for ages. A Japanese friend of mine said the game is basically a western love letter to Japanese culture and he was very impressed with it.

They did an extremely good job. They even have an option for Japanese voice overs(excellent job) with English subtitles. That's how I played the game. It feels more authentic.

That's how I'll play it too, Especially as I just started watching the new "Shogun" series on Disney+ and wow, Truly amazing.

I'll get this as my mate mostly played the ps4 copy I had at one point, for me as the viewer it's an 8 out of ten but it's a very good looking game in places so I'll definitely be getting this again.
its funny.. I was just having a nostalgic moment earlier. Saw Assassins Creed Red pop up and it reminded me of the old Tenchu Stealth Assassins.
Then I learn that FromSoftware bought the Tenchu IP and that Sekiro, was supposed to be the new Tenchu. That ended up far from the plan, but the moment I checked for the best comparison. GoT seemed to top the list. So here we are, myself being somewhat keen to see this on PC purely because of Nostalgia

This game is better than most AC titles imo.
Tbh I lost faith in the AC games. I feel like its lost its touch with the world of Hassassins. It became more inclined to brute force combat (think Valhalla, Odyssey) and less Subterfuge.
I might give GoT a look.

I did enjoy Odyssey and Valhalla, I got the platinum trophy for Odyssey on PS, but I do agree while "good" games they definitely are not the AC we grew up with. Syndicate was the last of the traditional style and it was just ok. It's been a while since the legendary Ezio days.
