GeCube Gemini 3 - Dual 2600 XT

Good timing, I've just finished building my half sized nuclear power plant in my room so I should just about have enough leccy to power one

May be dumb of me to ask this, but will the X2600's be faster than the 8600's? If anyone knows that is. Me = to lazy to google.

First off, how much, second off, how much PSU power, 3rd off how much will it increase performance wise to have a second chip?

I guess I never much understood this dual gpu / single PCB design, here's why...

Either

A) It performs close to a 2900XT (probably still less than a 2900) yet will cost MORE than a 2900XT. Why would you spend more money on something that doesn't perform as well as it's bigger brother?

or

B) It does outperform a 2900XT (probably by a realllllly small margin), in which case why didn't they make a dual 2900XT card for SERIOUS horsepower? Probably still costs more than a 2900XT.

Now, if it just underperforms a 2900 series card and actually costs less as well I can see it. But I just have a hard time seeing a dual GPU card like this actually costing less than 2900XT which will more than likely outperform it. I suppose it's premature to make any of these remarks but this is what usually happens on these damned dual gpu cards.
