Gears of War 4's latest update adds compression to reduce the game's size

I don't understand why people complain so much about game file sizes. I know it's annoying they're getting bigger with seemingly few rewards for doing so, but storage is getting cheaper and you can always... *gasp*... delete the game once you're finished with it.

It's not that bad TBF, once you're done playing for a while just copy the game folder to a storage drive and save it for later (if bandwidth is an issue) I have Witcher 3, Wildlands, GTA V, Skyrim, The Division and a few more larger titles backed up on my mech drive. If I decide I want to play them again I move them to my SSD and validate the files. Much quicker than redownloading. If storage is still an issue for people just zip the folder up nice and tight to squeeze that bit more space.

Exactly. That's another way of doing it. In fact, that would be a better way for someone like me with slow Internet.

It depends what type of person you are. I play a lot of games, and with different friends.
And then just the chilling single player games =
