Gears of War 4 will have "Insane" Settings on PC

I don't see the point in this type of move to be honest, By the time a GPU exists to be able to play it at max settings we'll have many other games out and this will be put on the shelf.

Loads of games do this and I have no problem with it, personally. If it doesn't take time and man-power away from more important areas to code the 'Insane' patch, or whatever it might be called, why not include it? If just for the heck of it, it'll be a fun challenge and shouldn't hurt anyone. Being a PC gamer is about having fun challenges. I want to see a game that has a ridiculously demanding setting that only the elite can play. That's exciting to me. Every time I boot the game it'll be staring at me, flipping me off, chuckling to itself. That's a part of what PC gaming is to me; getting frustrated, then doing something to fix it. As long as the game also runs on lower-end hardware and still looks great, I'm stoked to see if it's worth its title. Shadow of Mordor's Ultra texture pack with its 6GB of VRAM recommendation was the talk of the town for months. GTA V's extended draw distance was all the rave. The Witcher 2's anti-aliasing, the original Crysis, etc. Comparing settings and being challenged by them is part of the fun.
