Gaming PC help!

I agree with SieB about the OCZ Solid 3. I missed that last night otherwise I'd have probably of said to go for that in the first place.

With regards to the sound card then out of those two I'd go with the Asus Xonar Essence STX as it seems to have a better reputation as a product and better reputation for drivers.

To be honest I'm planning on putting the Asus Xonar Essence STX in my next rig.

Thank you so much for your help :3

ok STX is good newbie question: can i use with Razer carcharias or Sennheiser HD555 i dont see mic connection on the card so how do i use my mic with it?

i read review about z68 i don't need the 2 new features LucidLogix Virtu + Intel Smart Response Technology.

I think i will go with P67 UD7 it got 2 x16 slots for dual graphics cards + it looks amazing, the asus p8p67 pro is x8/x8 only. or will that change if i add sound card?

Maybe I should have explained this before but I already knew about the x8/x8 on the Asus board. It's why I asked you how many monitors you where going to use. The truth is that unless you use multi monitor setups, there is no noticeable difference between x8/x8 and x16/x16. You will get a slightly slower, and it is slight, score in benchmarks and that's it! If you want to check it out there's a couple of video's on Linus TechTips where he tests this out with a 6990.

The UD7 is a great board but I don't think it's really worth paying the extra money for it imho as your only using one monitor and when you do add the sound card the graphics cards will drop to x16/x8. But like I said before, it's your rig and if the UD7 is the board you want then go for it.

With regards to headset's, I can't really say I know what I'm talking about, but I hear Sennheiser are really good but I do need to point out (just in case you didn't notice) that the HD555 are just headphones meaning there is no mic where the carcharias is a headset meaning it has headphones and a mic.

I went to my local shop they will bring back lian li cases and thats great i already placed an order for P80B case! it's 597 USD but it's worth it! and they have 1000 and 1200 PSU i think the 1200 is enough + the price difference between 1000 and 1200 is only 50USD differance and good for future upgrades.

A P80B?! I like it! Hope you some pics for us once you've built this

I'm not sure you'll ever really need that much power mate but it will be quieter than the 1000 because you won't be stressing it as much.

Not bad mate. This PC's going to be a monster

Lian li P80B is getting updated but it's not out yet it's called P80N i won't wait for it + 100 USD more to the already expensive P80B

I ordered P80B i think the P80B is updated ver of P80.

Your very welcome mate

I though the B at the end of P80 stood for black. There is also the P80R and that's red so it made sense.

Now there's a P80N I don't know what they mean
