Hello

I need some advice on which graphics card to buy because I was first going to go with the 570 but know I have seen the 460 2win and it is about the same price as this and apparently it out performs a GTX 580 so I don't know which one to buy.

I guess it's down to personal preference, i would go with the 570 with the intention of adding another further down the line when the prices drop. I'd not seen a 460 2win mind so i can't comment on how it performs.

Unless your planning on getting a second 570 later then I'd go with the 2win.

My reasons for saying this are that it will out perform a 570 and it also gives you triple monitor support from a single card. Two 570's in SLI would beat this card though.

Only things to bare in mind are that you will need a 700W PSU at least, and that you can' have two 2win cards in SLI because the 460 GPU does not support quad SLI.

Also, if you get this graphics card you don't need a mobo that has dual x16 PCI-E to get the most out of 3 monitors.

Then I think you have your answer as the 460 2WIN supports 4 monitors out of the box and the 570 only supports 2.

How does that work cus I've never seen more than 3 monitors used of Nvidia cards? Is it that you have 3 monitors set to run as one and then the 4th is just like having a second screen?

Might be worth mentioning that you will need a monitor with a HDMI port or a HDMI to DVI cable to get that 4th screen working.

The card supports 4 monitors as it is in essence 2 reference GPUs strapped together on a non ref PCB unlike the reference dual GPUs.

the dual 460 thing is pointless.

Why?

They seem a good idea for people who want to run two or more monitors on a sandy board cus they won't be running the GPU's over x8/x8.

Also means you could buy a cheap board like the P8P67 which has no SLI support so you could build yourself a cheap but quite powerful rig.

Depends on how much these cards are priced at though ofc.

I don't see why you shouldn't buy one of these cards instead of a 570 unless you are going to add another 570 later.

This is a "please enlighten me" post btw, not a "I think your wrong, let's argue" post
