Hi all,

i have problem with my graphic card. I've installed Windows 7 64-bit and my performance in games drops extremly. First example is PES 2010 game. That game i was able to run on 1680x1050 on full details smothly... Now i cant get it on 1440x900 on high detail. Only on low I've reinstalled PhysX but nothing, I've downloaded new nvidia drivers, nothing... Any sugestions?

Uninstall all Nvidia drivers and then run a driver cleaner. then down load the latest full driver pack. If that doesnt work test the card in another machine.

It may be the game just needs a hotfix, even Nvidia drivers might need a hotfix. Have you lost fps on all games?

its not the OS its the games. Updates are made all the time to make them run better. You only have to look at the reasons for driver updates to see that. If its not a bad install on the drivers or the registry then its deffo a driver based game issue.

hm... i doubt the gpu is problem, just yesterday gpu worked fine :) i tried with drivers, i downloaded all updates from microsoft and same results... drivers from manufacturers site... same result... is there any known problem with nvidia and windows 7 atm?

Nope. Win7 drivers have been labeled up for Vista downloads for closely approaching a year now. Generally an issued hotfix (KB) would be to work around something wrong in the OS b4 m$ release a fix in due course. People like eVGA are pretty hot on this sorta thing.

An upd8d driver, from nVidia anyway, would more likely be a tweak (rather than a fix) where they've stuck something in to identify the game and take advantage to gain a % through some optimization. U do get fixes occassionally too tho, neither of which is the problem ur having.

Being as ur hardware setup can be duplicated and work fine, there has to be something going on we're not thinking off. Tom's idea of clean-installing a driverset would be the best bet.

Oc'ing at all ?

Like to add that the sigs seem to be very large atm from all corners. Mine was assasinated for being smaller, even tho ubb padded it out with blank space on windows machines.

nope, all components @ default values... i've read just a minutes ago on some forum, updating bios can solve this problem?! Is that possible at all? i mean, wtf bios can improve in windows 7?!

yup... i hate when i dont know what problem is... i didnt find anything about problem online...?! hate this things :D
