Gabe Newell is now one of the US' 100 richest people

I love and hate this man so much! With how Steam started out it is absolutely amazing how good it is today. They used HL2 to push Steam (Steam was required to play the game) and I've had this feeling that they will (eventually) use HL3 to push VR (as in it will be VR only).

jesus.... no man, he the head of a business that gives very little effort to quality control, they were the first to have loot crates which now infests all big titles, customer service is a joke and they had to give in to refunds because ea was beating them to it, ea of all things... No i wouldnt call him jesus, EVER.

I agree, He can't even answer questions for the fan base of half life to either let them know if HL3 is or isn't coming out, He just says "we're not discussing that at this time" cheap tactic of a cowardly man.
 
I really don't think they could make a HL3, the hype would make it an instant fail no matter how good or bad it actually is, it could never live up to peoples expectations, HL has a holy grail status and HL3 would have to be god like and the last game that you'd ever buy because every game after is sub-par

Yeah it smells like Duke Nukem Never to me. I really enjoyed Duke and played it through three times, but it would never have made people happy.

I would rather have Left 4 Dead 3 with modern graphics than HL3 now tbh.

The next game I really want is Dead Island 2. Absolutely loved the first two.

If they made L4D 3 My son would be in a constant "Dad can you get me?" mode, he's finished L4D 1 and 2 and still enjoys playing them over.
 
I am really happy for Gabe. He got shoved and crapped on by publishers, he started Steam with the release of Half-Life 2 and made it big. :)
