G.Skill Launches DDR4-4266MHz 8X8GB RGB DDR4 Memory Kits

Of course it's narrow-minded. In what world is saying that a colour is gender specific not narrow-minded? The allocation of blue for boys and pink for girls is, historically speaking, a recent thing.
I couldn't give a damn about "gender identity politics" either. At this point I'm saying it's flat out ridiculous to claim that something is for a specific gender based on the way it looks (especially when it's RAM so ugly i'd insist on not having a windowed panel)

Joke or not is irrelevant since I was actually originally addressing a flawed point made by tgrech; but this is way off topic (and I accept some responsibility for that) so I'm just gonna leave it before it derails further.

No one said it's gender specific though, that would be narrow minded. Observing that pink is generally associated with femininity (At least in our culture) is an observation and not a statement. Just because we know its no longer right to force said colours to be assigned to each gender ór assign them exclusively doesn't mean we no longer have distinct gender identities in aesthetic design, even when not intentional, it's more a side effect of our pattern matching optimised brain.

Dude, your language sometimes just messes with my head, especially in the morning ... Or it's just that I'm that dumb, which is an option.

Pink has been historically a girl color. It's not narrow minded.

When a couple announces a gender of a baby, they either represent it as blue or pink. For boy or girl. It's not narrow minded. It's a fallacy to the MSM has ingrained into peoples heads. This gender identity politics which is what this argument is based on, can honestly just go out of the door. He made a joke, hence his ;), people need to stop being so sensitive.

Thank you for being a voice of reason here NBD. Now can we go back to discussing how horrible this RAM looks.

From what I've read here NO ONE in this thread thinks men or women should be treated differently and that's what's important.

Seriously though, let's hope this isn't the next RGB "Jeweled PCs" lol. I'm just not an overly flash guy when it comes to PCs. I like quality, understated hardware

Well this is quite obvious to me personally, I don't see what's so "wrong" with a guy liking pink (such as myself) and being considered gay cause of it. Or a girl that likes black and being called an emo/goth cause of it. That's just complete bs in my eyes.

Everyone should be able to like whatever they want to, without being stamped with a label on their forehead cause of their personal preferences and likings.

I take this opportunity to introduce you to the finest piece of British engineering there is.

I quite like Hetty, Henry looks like a little bus, sure she has feminine characteristics, and maybe the targeting is abit old school and out of touch, but to met it's just another theme for anyone to appreciate, it just has a certain association.

Pink for a girl, blue for a boy, yellow if you don't have scans and are not sure.

Remember, diamonds are a girl's best friend. That came from a jazz song sung by a woman.

Oddly I'd never even considered these being "girly" but tbh? looking at them I can see that they are far more feminine than most components I see. Which is good, because girls should get a choice too.
