G.Skill Eco is amazing!

Background: My friend asked me to build him a computer at a set budget, I ended up getting him 4GB of g.skill eco 1333Mhz 7-7-7-21 1.35v DDR3 ram. it was $99 CAD, so a good deal.

Why its amazing: Plugged it into his P55 board today and started to oc his system. I got the ram to 1600Mhz 7-7-7-23 @ 1.4v

IDK if its just me, but i think thats some great stuff right there. Where most kits on the market are 1.6v 9-9-9-24 and cost $120 and to get the high performance stuff you be paying $150 or more

If you need new dual chan. DDR3 GET THIS! (it also comes in a 1600Mhz @ 1.35v for $110, that stuff will probably be even better)

EDIT: noticed i had 7-7-7-21 but its -23

I also have seen some nice reviews for the G.SKill ECO kits, mainly the 1600mhz Cl7 one. It does look like a good kit for the bucks, but your case is amazying. 1600 7-7-7 1.4V is insane.

I think with Gskill a lot of people are put off by the name. A friend of mine got some of that Ripjaw stuff and said it was just ludicrously fast.

Their SSDs aren't all that though.

awww man ! nice results. were u able to take them higher at all ? Screenies ? benchies ???? Memset ??? WE NEED #s !!!!!!! :D

Impressive, man. I'm in need for new RAM my self, but I think I'm getting 4GB Mushkin Redline. It's 6-8-6-24, 1,65 volts. I'm hoping to get it running at around 1800MHz with the same timings and volt of course. I can't rise that without know exactly what I'm doing. I don't want to grill my i5.
