Hi Guys,

I'm so damn excited, I just ordered a FX-55 will be here 2morrow, I can't wait to thrash this little beauty under my GT! This is my 1st top of the line chip, I normally buy mid range chips and give them some stick....

Heard some good reports about these badboys, hope I get a good one!

Aiming for 3.1Ghz what do you guys reckon!

I will post benchmarks 2morrow night

Thanks

nice one.

Look forward to seeing your results..

I was going to get the FX55, but decided to wait till the FX57 come out and get a 3500 for now...

Good luck and happy benching.... :)

I was at majormav's the other day and he was playing with his FX55..... he has a stock Mach I... no regas... and it was running at 3250MHz... benchable on his Volt modded Gigabye board.

Hopefully with the GT... you should be looking at a little bit higher as long as you can keep the volts going :)

If I could do these kind of speeds I think I would have to throw a party & show the beast off to all my friends.......:p

I've gone with the MSI, apparently the new bios give upto 1.92V!!!

OK guys my baby arrived at 1.30.............

After setting everything up, I have done some tests....

Whats the Firmware I need for a K8N Neo2 because system fire's up straight away.... I'm running 821

After 30 minutes of testing, i'm upto a staggering 3250Mhz:D with only 1.64V on the core (I think i've got a good one:cool: )

The stepping is :- ADAFX55DEI5AS CAA2C O441EPMW 1124162J40035

Ran 3dmark 01 & scored 35000 with default XT PE (Forgot to do a screenshot sorry!)

Ran some sandra benchies - heres some pics

Got to go now.... Post more results in the early hours

I thinks its maxed out at 3250 1.76V, it's 100% Stable:D .....

As soon as I go 1 Mhz faster it becomes unstable even with more Vcore even upto 1.92V, Do you guys think i've hit the wall for my processor? As I got that far a thought 3.3Ghz should be a piece of cake...

Have you tried a ram booster yet? what multiplier and bus speed are you at?

I am building my system(in signature) and am looking to find some basic parameters and bios settings. Are you using 3x or 4x?

Nice system btw!!

Hope mine gets to where yours is.

I'm using the default multiplier of 13 x 250, HTT 4x.... No booster yet but one on the way, my memory's fine upto 262Mhz but that means using a half multiplier which hits preformance........

To get 1.92V Vcore you need the 1.36 Beta BIOS which gives you +18.3% vcore option, found here http://www.weckstrom.com/msibios/ theyv'e got all the bios there....

Hi Fatty,

Shame about Winchesters not liking minus temps, I was reading on xtreme earlier that macci tried watercooling with ice cubes & and it failed to boot until the ice was melted & the water had warmed up... Hopefully this can be solved in the future

A few benchies -
