Futuremark's 3DMARK Time Spy 4K DirectX 12 benchmark will be released this month

This should be a very good bench for testing both CPUs and GPUs as there won't be any bottlenecks.

Depends on the software and if they decide to not include card specific hardware features or take advantage of a set of hardware features to it's fullest extent to cater to a inferior card.

It is based on the standard version which itself is a very good test of hardware.

Upgrading it to 4k will make it more useful to test the next gen of GPUs as this removes any possible CPU bottlenecks that can occur when testing mGPU with the standard version.

The new version will also allow Threadripper and 7980XE CPUs to really have a blast.

Not saying it's bad. Just before they didn't fully take advantage of Async Compute so it didn't favor AMD to much. Which imo is wrong and they should take advantage of ALL the features to the best of their ability so we can see overtime how each generation of cards move forward.

There are things that could be maxed that would favour NVidia cards too but they have not done that either.

As it stands the latest Vega cards are very competitive against the GTX 1080 on the standard version so I think that Futuremark have got it just about right and fair.

I know I saw and understand that.
However you aren't hearing what I'm saying. They should take advantage of both companies cards to the fullest extent. Whether it's fair or not. it shows who actually has the better card

So is someone going to do a bench thread for this on OC3D ?
