Hey there folks, yet again I'm back in the GPU section looking for advice, but with so many possibilities and combinations out there I really can never nail down on a decision.
So right now I'm running with the specs listed at the bottom of this post and as it stands I'm pretty damn happy with my gaming performance.
Over the next 6 months or so I'm planning on upgrading my main display to a higher res than 1920x1080, I'm thinking 1440p. When this occurs, I'm inevitability going to hit a performance drop, naturally. I'm wondering what the best route (cost wise) would be to run games on high/ultra with 50/60+ fps performance on a 1440p display, from what I have now.
Crossfiring with my current 7970?
Sell 7970 and buy something else?
Just to make it clear, when I make changes to my GPU setup, I will have a different motherboard that will be sli/xfire compatible. (If SLI/xfire is suggested, please include a recommend PSU with your suggestion)
Current Specs:
i5 760 @ 3.8GHz
Asus P7P55D-E LX
MSI 7970 Lightning BE
4x2GB Corsair XMS3@1600MHz
Corsair TX650M
Thanks in advance folks!
