So my 6990 gpu1 consistently gets stuck at 500mhz core and 1250mem. The only way i have found to been able to remedy this was by restarting. Why does this happen?
This is also not the first time a xfire set up has done this to me either. When i had 5770 xfire and 5870 xfire it did the same thing. This only happens if i start a youtube video or start up skype. When i am on youtube one of the ways to get out of this stuck was to close youtube before starting a game, and occasionally i had to restart my computer. When i open Skype on the other hand the only way to fix the stick was to restart my computer before playing a game. is there any fix to this or is this just a common issue with dual GPU configurations? remember this also happened with my 5770 xfire as well as my 5870 xfire.
its really getting annoying. for example: I will be talking to my friends via skype and i want to play crysis for example but my GPU1 is stuck at 500core? or we will hop on BFBC2 and i will still be stuck at 500.
