Although I'm a Nvidia consumer I'm happy to see this hit the market not only are they cheaper than G-sync monitors but AMD graphics cards are also cheaper than nvidia counterparts if I remember correctly. All I can say is shots fired Nvidia

it is GCN based, but is essentially a HD 7870 remake and is not new enough for FreeSync.

I understand that the 270x is just a 7870 rebrand, but it still feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth.

If the price of the monitors is lower than the g-sync ones this will be a major selling point for AMD
Let's see however how it does versus g-sync though

Well if anything it should inherit less problems than g-snyc. Simply because in comparison it just uses a new standard and the only thing that can go wrong is really just a bad cable or normal monitor reason, whereas g-sync it can be hardware, cable, or anything else that usually happens.
