Nice to see these things appearing.

Makes u feel gooey that they must know usb3.0 is going to be a normality sooner rather than l8r. (otherwize who's gonna buy it)

USB3.0 is meant to be backwards compatible, so in that sense Mac drivers shouldn't be necessary, since u won't see a Mac with USB3.0 connections for atleast several months, u'd connect it as 2.0.

How does that speed compare to fwire800 ?

Firewire is generally tcp/ip mind.

I think when testing it against fast ethernet, it made around 20mb versus the fast ethernet's 10mb.

Big shortfall using tcp/ip.
